But on 22 May 2015 “Thinking Out Loud” by Sheeran became the first song to hit 500 plus million streams on Spotify on 12 October 2015. As time passed many songs came and trended at their time but in December 2021 “ Shape of You” crossed 3 billion-plus streams on Spotify.
Spotify almost all songs have over one billion streams that are an interesting quality of this platform. At least 324 songs on Spotify have achieved this milestone in December 2022.
